Monoclonal Anti-Human Herp Antibody
Dr HIRABAYASHI Yasuhiko et al, Tohoku University Hospital, constructed monoclonal antibody “HT2 mAb” against human homocysteine-induced endoplasmic reticulum protein (Herp), whose expression is induced under endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, during their research on ER stress-related diseases such as homocysteinemia, diabetes, systemic lupus erythematosus and hepatopathy. This antibody may be useful for qualitative and quantitative analysis of intracellular Herp to investigate the role of Herp in various diseases. HT mAb is now commercially provided by Chondrex Inc. in United States as “Anti-Human Herp Antibody, Clone HT2” and “Anti-Human Herp Antibody, Clone HT2, Biotinylated”.
